How to Get the Most Out of Your InSinkErator Garbage Disposal Gasket Rubber
- Power off first: Unplug the disposer or switch off the breaker.
- Access the mount: Follow the included installation instructions to remove the existing sink gasket.
- Install the new gasket: Seat the rubber gasket evenly at the sink opening. Reassemble per instructions, then hand-tighten hardware before final snugging.
- Leak check: Run water and inspect the seal. Use a light soap solution to spot bubbles that indicate a leak; re-seat if needed.
Expert tip: Replace the gasket any time you notice drips, odors, or a loose seal at the sink. Wipe the rubber clean with mild soap and water during routine kitchen maintenance to extend service life.
