Meant to be placed right next to sprinkler head

"Good for blocking overspray in case sprinkler head angle can't be narrowed down. Built-in spike length and flexibility require placing the shield right next to the sprinkler head with the shield touching the ground. The spikes are too short and flexible if positioned over a foot away to block water that arcs up from the sprinkler head."
