- Prepare the Wheels: Clean the wheels thoroughly to remove dirt, brake dust, and old coatings. Sand any rough areas and ensure the surface is dry and free of grease before painting.
- Mask Off Areas: Protect surrounding areas of the vehicle from overspray by masking off the tires, brakes, and any nearby parts with painter’s tape and plastic sheeting.
- Shake Well: Shake the can vigorously for 1-2 minutes to ensure proper paint mixing and achieve an even application.
- Apply in Thin Coats: Hold the can 6-12 inches from the wheel and apply the coating in thin, even layers using a sweeping motion. Allow each coat to dry before applying additional coats.
- Allow to Cure: Let the coating dry to the touch in 30 minutes and fully cure for at least 24 hours before driving the vehicle or exposing the wheels to heavy use.
